The holidays are here! It's a time for social gatherings, family reunions, and joyful celebration. However, not everyone is fortunate to have access to these moments, especially if you’re incarcerated.
APSC is hosting our first Family Day: A holiday potluck aimed to heal our traumas through community, food, and storytelling.
We'll enjoy homemade food cooked by family and loved ones of impacted folks. These are often the first freedom meals served when individuals come home from prison or ICE detention.
Then, we'll have a panel of Southeast Asian individuals who are impacted be deportation and at risk of being stripped away from their families and homes.
FIGHTING FOR FREEDOM
At APSC, we have an abundance of advocacy stories we'll share to inspire and motivate families to take action. You'll hear from successful campaigns and excerpts from our newest “Freedom Anthology” which highlights anti-deportation struggles and wins.
Let's come together to heal, eat, share stories, and remember that the fight for freedom can feel warm and joyful even during the hardest of times.
